General facts about me


I have finished my diploma thesis at the IFM-GEOMAR in Kiel with the title “ Cloud Radiative Effect observed by SEVIRI on board of Meteosat Second Generation” in 2009. After that, I continued working on the subject Clouds, Radiation, and Satellites. Right now I am working at the IFT as a scientist. One of my tasks is being in charge together with Hartwig Deneke for the installation, configuration, and administration of a satellite data receiving station and the data archiving. Additionally, I am working on my PhD thesis in the working group “Satellite Remote Sensing”. Within the framework of being scientist and PhD-Student I investigate the radiative budget of the cloudy or aerosol loaded atmosphere at the Top of Atmosphere. For this purpose I use satellite-based data, ground-based data, and radiative transfer models. My goal is to improve the observations of the cloud radiative effect observations.
